Sous chef to lead the kitchen in all areas when head chef is away doing one of our many events. To work as part of our small team to help develop our menus and business.
We are looking for a passionate and conscientious Chef to work
alongside head chef to manage daily kitchen activities at our restaurant on Poole Quay and for various outside events.

The food style is British with international influences using lots of local produce and seafood.
We want somebody who can do all the detailed role drafted below, but most of all to work with a positive can do attitude as part of a small team of passionate people who help each other through out the day.
Cooking skills are essential, whether it’s
Seafood, meats, baking and desserts or just making good job of everything we produce with pride and passion for quality.

Up to 28 days holiday.
Flexible standard 5 day working week
No split shifts with a mix of day and night shifts, one weekend off every month.
Occasional overtime for events. 45 hour week.

Job role will be overseeing staff, training, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. Provides meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.

Job Duties will include the following.

Leads kitchen team in chef's absence
Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.

Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients..
Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.
Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours.

Hires and trains new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards.

Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards.
Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
